Circuit Challenges

Today we completed some challenges to make different types of alarms to protect our property!
Miss Dennison was our guinea pig and I think we gave her quite a fright! She was very impressed with our alarms and especially with the way we could explain how they worked and use the scientific vocabulary.
This one lets us know if someone opens the cupboard door!

Working on ideas for a trip wire.

No one will get away with this box of secrets!

Our magic potion will be safe when this alarm is complete!
Working out how the alarm under the doormat will work ...

and fixing it in place! That should stop anyone
getting in without us knowing about it!
You can see how well they worked in the video below.

  1. What a lot of exciting designs - I like the video showing how they all work. Did you have to try lots of times to gets things to work?

  3. Poor Miss Dennison,I hope you didn't give her too big a fright. You all look as though your enjoying the electricity project and working well in groups. Well done P5. I can't wait to see what you get up to when you have to test alternative sources of energy i.e windmills and wave power! Caroline (Louise's mum)
